  • Education Specialist – Instructional Designer / Course Developer

    We are currently hiring for an Instructional Designer/ Developer to join our team! Working with a dynamic and innovative team at de Souza Institute, part of the University Health Network, the position provides an opportunity to work on initiatives that address the current healthcare workforce crisis, helping to deliver healthcare education across Ontario, Canada and the world.
    The successful candidate will contribute to de Souza Institute’s elearning programs by collaborating with educators and course development team members to design and write storyboards, design documents, and develop elearning courses.

Featured Positions:

  • Registered Nurse, Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (May 18) Minimum 1-2 years recent oncology nursing experience in the inpatient or ambulatory care setting required. de Souza Foundations course recommended.
  • Registered Nurse – Surgery – Oncology, Joseph Brant Hospital (May 17) Preference will be given to candidates with current oncology and chemotherapy nursing care experience and who have completed or are enrolled in the de Souza Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course. Demonstrated knowledge of palliative care require.
  • Registered Nurse Oncology Chemotherapy Unit, The Ottawa Hospital (May 17th) de Souza Provincial Standardized Chemotherapy and Biotherapy or ONS certification is mandatory. Must be willing to maintain this certification and recertify if required. Applicants demonstrate competencies of the Specialized Oncology Nurse described by CANO.
  • Registered Nurse – Outpatient Cancer Clinic, Southlake Regional Health Centre (May 16th) Must have certification in chemotherapy administration from a recognized institution (de Souza Institute/ ONS) within the first 6 months of hire, and demonstration of annual recertification. Minimum of 1 year recent (within the last five years) and relevant oncology/palliative nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Registered Nurse – Cancer Care Adult In-Patient, London Health Sciences Centre (May 16th) Certification with de Souza Provincial Standard Chemo Therapy and Biotherapy preferred. Current experience (within the last two years) in acute care medical, radiation, and haematology, adult oncology nursing preferred.
