Jo-Dee is a registered nurse with more than 40 years of experience in nursing covering a broad area of practice but more specifically in mental health. She is currently focusing her practice in Telemedicine, including orthopedic, nephrology and cancer clinic appointments. Jo-Dee is passionate about providing high quality palliative care services for marginalized populations who do not have the means or capacity to seek out social support or resources from the community during cancer treatment.
Jo-Dee is a longtime advocate for nurses working in hospital and is the bargaining Union president for Ontario Nurses’ Association. She is a Certified Acudetox Specialist, a Certified Faith Community Nurse, and a Chaplain. Jo-Dee does a lot of volunteer work, including her involvement in the United Way, Crimestoppers, local fair board, poultry club, and international aid work in Haiti and South Africa. She is an active member of the Anglican Church Women’s Group.
